A Page just for fun!

I am back to share a page that I did just for fun, no idea where I was going with it, just let it all come together.

I used one of the latest Scrap FX chippies the BLISS Bracket word. I love all the words they have in this line.

I added some wings with a smattering of embossing powder and embossed the word as well. I also used an old fave of mine the stonework screen that I cut up to add dimension to my page.

Once I attached it to my base with some other bits and pieces, like mesh and texture paste, I lathered it with Gesso and then sprayed away with some Lindy's Stamp Gang Sprays.

You can see all the bits and pieces I used here. I just used what ever was within reach! Loads of scraps from other work.

Here is the full page:

The Journalling is a stamp from Kaiser that just said all I wanted to say!

I have to say I really loved how this one turned out and I was even in the photo!!!!
It is a great photo of my 2 fella's, finally got a good one without them pulling their ridiculous faces.....Ahhh Teens!!
Thanks so much for dropping by y'all!

"A Quick Share"

A big Hello to everyone!
Just thought I would pop in to show a card that I made for my nieces' engagement on the weekend.
I do struggle with cards, but I was inspired by fellow Design Team member at Scrap FX, Marta who shared a video earlier this week.
Her projects are just awesome and just a little different....yes I do love her style!!!
Here is a link for you: Martas channel
And here is what I came up with:

I guess it could have done with a flower or 2 but, you know me, I do not have any!!
Unfortunately the whole flower thing really tests me out!! We all have our kryptonite and flowers for me are it (along with Pink and Purple!)

I used Scrap FX chipboard pieces that I had in my stash for an age, it felt satisfying to put older faves to good use further reinforcement to never throw anything away!

That is it for my show and tell for today, bye till next time lovelies!!

My Next Class.

High everyone, I just thought I would pop in to show you the next class I will be teaching at Scrappers Warehouse on the weekend. If you want to join me why not give them a call or drop them an email.
So here is the page, lots of layers, inky fun with Lindys Stamp Gang, ScrapFX Goodies and some yummo Graphic 45 paper:

I went a little different with the colours as I cleaned up my desk so did not reach for that teal and green colour combo!!

The kit includes the Scrap FX Chippies and we will play with their stencil here too!

That is about it from me for now! Thanks so much for dropping by and I will see some of you this weekend for some inky fun!!

More fun Stuff!

Back again with another page made for Scrap FX with their new releases for May.
This time I used these very cool hash bits and hash foam stamps......I was so inspired when I first laid my eyes on these. I am certain they will feature in lots of my future creations.

Hash BitsHash Stamps
I used the foam stamps on the background stamping the ink in a random manner. The best thing about these foam stamps they really keep on stamping even with one ink application.

I also stamped into the wet light molding paste to create texture.

I inked the hash bits with black then added embossing powder roughly so that it was not perfect coverage.

Here is the full page of my nieces hamming it up once again!

I used this Bracket word as my title and my journalling .... how easy is that??
{Happiness......

I used the black ink once again and some gold paint for the highlights and smaller lettering as they looked lost all in black.

The background sprays are all from Lindys' Stamp Gang. The patterned paper is all Graphic 45.

I tried to replicate the hash pattern with the patterned paper.

Lastly I just embellished away with sequins and liquid pearls.

Well that is it for me for now, hope you are all creating away and perhaps I have thrown just a little inspiration your way!

A Ripper month of Scrap FX!

And Hello out there!!!! Wow already June????? No way!!!!! It is a little scary how quickly the year flies by and I know I have been neglecting this little creative corner, so I am back to rectify that matter!
I thought I would show one of my pages for Scrap FX this month. I was absolutely blown away by the products, they were particularly appealing, so I have so many pages to show.... you could say I was in a messy frenzy!!

This is the piece that inspired me so:
I'm not perfect.... (small)
Just brilliant!
So I nabbed some silly shots my son took while we were away of my nieces, they are  beautiful when they muck around with crazy faces!
I started by using the Circle Weave stencil with texture paste that I coloured using Lindy's Stamp Gang Magicals powder, the result was very striking, so I added the spray in gold and various shades of  green as I did not want the background to over shadow the photo.

I then stamped in random spots and added washi tape strips in the shape of the large Scribble Heart that I happened to have on my desk.

I cut the heart to fit in the phrase and butted it up against the photo.
I did put a backing on the phrase as, even when I inked it up it got a little lost in the strip background.

I glued it all down, then embellished away with micro beads, thread, sequins (cannot leave them alone ATM), and some embossed teeny hearts that were chipboard.

And here is what I ended up with:

So there you have it, the first page of many to come using this release. Want to take a peek at the rest of the newbies head to the Scrap FX Store.
Thanks for stopping by!
